Things to Know Before Your Stay
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience at Buffalo Boone Rentals in Parthenon near Jasper Ar, we’ve outlined a few important details and house guidelines for your stay. Each of our cabins—Buffalo Bungalow, Blame It All on My Roots, and A Frame View—is designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing retreat, and following these guidelines helps us maintain that experience for every guest.
Cell service is extremely limited so please make sure to have your arrival information with you before you arrive. You will receive check in information, directions and our house manual prior to your arrival. Due to lack of cell service it may be difficult to reach out to the host. NOTE: Please do not rely on GPS. Use the directions provided.
Your House Manual
After booking, guests will receive a detailed House Manual specific to their property.
Please save it to your phone before traveling.

Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is 10am. Please plan your arrival accordingly, as this allows our team time to prepare each cabin to the highest standard for incoming guests. Checking yourself in early or checking out late will result in an additional charge if not approved by the host. The cleaners are not allowed to give guests access to the property. Please be courteous of that. Thank you.
Getting Here
Please read the driving directions in your House Manual before leaving Jasper.
Cell service can be unreliable in the Ozarks, and GPS does not always choose the best route to rural properties.
We strongly recommend screenshotting your property's written directions before you leave Jasper and following those instructions rather than relying solely on GPS.
Each property has its own detailed directions and recognizable landmarks to help make arrival as simple as possible.
Pet Policy
Each cabin is pet friendly up to one dog only. No cats. We do charge a $150 pet fee per pet. We ask that all pets are well-behaved, supervised, and that guests clean up after them to help preserve the property and surrounding natural environment. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in the beds. If the presence of a dog is noted on the furniture as the result of excessive dog hair then an additional cleaning fee will apply.

Our goal is to make your arrival easy so you don't have to bring your entire house with you.
Each property includes fresh:
- Bath towels
- Hand towels
- Washcloths
- Bed linens
We also provide a starter supply of:
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Laundry pods
- Coffee
- Sugar
- Sweetener
- Creamer
- Salt
- Pepper
- Seasoning salt
- Common cooking spices
Coffee-maker styles vary by property, so check your individual House Manual for details.
For longer stays or larger groups, you may need to purchase additional consumable supplies.
Hot Tubs
Our hot tubs are maintained carefully for guest enjoyment.
We ask guests to shower or bathe before entering the hot tub to help keep the water clean and clear.
After use, guests should add ONE scoop of hot tub shock, with a maximum of one scoop per 24-hour period.
Please remember:
- No glass in or around the hot tub.
- No soaps, oils, bubbles or bath products.
- Replace the cover securely after use.
- Never sit or stand on the hot tub cover.
- Children must always be supervised.
Complete hot tub instructions are included in your House Manual.
Fire Pits & Pellet Grills
Where provided, guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and pellet grill.
Firewood and grill pellets are not supplied.
Please bring your own or plan to purchase them locally.
Never leave a fire unattended, and please extinguish fires completely when finished.
House Rules
Our house rules are designed to protect the peaceful setting of the Parthenon Valley and ensure a great stay for all guests. By reviewing these details ahead of time, you can arrive with confidence and fully enjoy your time in the Ozarks.
- No smoking or vaping inside.
- No unauthorized parties or additional guests.
- Follow the individual property's pet policy.
- Keep pets off furniture and bedding where pets are permitted.
- No glass around the hot tub.
- Supervise children around hot tubs, fire pits and outdoor areas.
- Never leave a fire unattended.
- Respect neighboring properties and the peaceful rural setting.
- Report damage or maintenance concerns promptly.
We do require our guests to sign a rental agreement at the time of booking. We also require a refundable security damage deposit hold of $300 for Blame It All On My Roots This is a written acknowledgement of our house rules.
Welcome to the Arkansas Ozarks
One of the best parts of staying with us is being surrounded by nature.
That also means wildlife and insects are a normal part of country living.
Keep exterior doors closed, don't leave food outside, and never feed or approach wildlife.
You may even spot some of the animals that make the Ozarks so special during your stay.
Before You Head Home
Our checkout process is intentionally simple.
Before leaving, guests are generally asked to:
- Start the dishwasher.
- Start one load of towels.
- Remove food brought into the property.
- Securely bag all trash and place it in the designated trash area.
- Cover the hot tub.
- Check for belongings and chargers.
- Close and lock windows and doors.
- Follow the property's specific key or keypad checkout instructions.
Again, there is no need to strip the beds.
Our cleaners greatly appreciate these few simple steps because they give them a head start preparing the property for our next guests.
